Eye Candy Friday

frosty_leaf.jpg

I know what it's time for when the frost is on the punkin. But what's it time for when the frost is on the leaf?

Very pretty but oh so cold!

Posted by: Karen at December 8, 2006 7:14 AM

Gorgeous picture! They're calling for "stinging cold" as the weather today. Ummmm, I think I'll take the bus instead of walking to work today!

Posted by: Mintyfresh at December 8, 2006 7:17 AM

It means SNOW! Look out the window, it's SNOWING!

Posted by: Dave Daniels at December 8, 2006 7:20 AM

Ooo a tulip tree, I love those! We had a huge one outside the comp sci building on campus way back when and I've planted a teensy one in my front yard that's up to my chest this year. No blooms yet but every spring I hold my breath for them.

Time to knit more mittens, scarves and hats! Brrrrrrrr!

Posted by: LizW at December 8, 2006 7:34 AM

It's time for mittens.

Posted by: Annie at December 8, 2006 7:39 AM

Perfect picture. I love to capture bit of nature at work with a camera. Nice!

Posted by: margene at December 8, 2006 7:48 AM

It's time to hibernate with a cup of hot cocoa and knit or spin.

Posted by: Manise at December 8, 2006 7:53 AM

Time for the first miserable long snowy commute of the year.
Good thing I can't reach Dave, that guy is just asking for a beating.

Posted by: Cheryl at December 8, 2006 7:54 AM

Its time for a glass of mulled wine and some soft fuzzy slippers!

Posted by: Heather R. at December 8, 2006 8:02 AM

Nice! Is it snowing there? I'm enjoying watching it here...

Posted by: Kat with a K at December 8, 2006 8:02 AM

It means its time to curl up with a cup of tea (or maybe a hot toddy) and knit yourself something nice and warm.

Posted by: Rachel at December 8, 2006 8:03 AM

Actually, I don't know - what time is it when frost is on the pumpkin? Pretty picture!

Posted by: Jackie at December 8, 2006 8:16 AM

Brr. It's cold out there this morning.

Posted by: Kathy at December 8, 2006 8:39 AM

It's time to stay indoors and knit, of course!

Posted by: Marcy at December 8, 2006 8:41 AM

we got a little snow this morning ...pretty picture!

Posted by: maryse at December 8, 2006 8:53 AM

Cool pic. And yes, dear, Chris meant You with her comment about the new Romi pin. Very obviously you. Couldn't be anyone else but you. I know this because I thought exactly the same thing when I saw it. :o)

Maybe it's time for snow!? Better question, what's it time for when it is actually 24F in south Louisiana? I'm so thankful for the cold weather and a chance to wear wool sweaters!

Posted by: amanda at December 8, 2006 9:05 AM

I literally just got CHILLS looking at that!

Posted by: scoutj at December 8, 2006 9:25 AM

great shot. I means it's time for wintery pursuits.

Posted by: Judy at December 8, 2006 9:28 AM

Lovely photo. With the weekend coming, I wish we had a nice snow storm coming too.

Posted by: Kat at December 8, 2006 9:56 AM

I love this weather

Posted by: blogless sharon at December 8, 2006 10:43 AM

I shivered just looking at that picture...........brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Posted by: christine at December 8, 2006 10:44 AM

Staying under the covers all day!

Posted by: Chris at December 8, 2006 10:47 AM

Time for a steamy hot bowl of fish chowdah and snuggly warm knits.

Posted by: Chris at December 8, 2006 11:04 AM

What time is it for when the frost is on the pumpkin? I know I knew this once but I've forgotten.

Posted by: Martha at December 8, 2006 11:09 AM

For me it's time to frickin remember to wear a scarf in the morning!

Posted by: Monica at December 8, 2006 11:15 AM

A fire in the fireplace and lots 'o knitting!

Posted by: Leah at December 8, 2006 12:03 PM

Ha -- you can tell where my mind is. My first thought when I saw the photo was, ooh, a chocolate leaf, yummy!

It was -9˚ F. here in n.w. Wisconsin yesterday morning. That was outside. It was 60˚ in our house - brrrr.

Posted by: kmkat at December 8, 2006 12:17 PM

What a great picture - have you ever considered putting out your own line of blank note cards with these eye candy photos? Just sayin'...

Posted by: Birdsong at December 8, 2006 12:57 PM

Very pretty! :o)

Posted by: Jess at December 8, 2006 1:04 PM

Pretty!

Posted by: Carrie K at December 8, 2006 2:07 PM

I always thought it was the "dew is on the pumpkin" but frost works too...

That picture is just gorgeous

Posted by: La at December 8, 2006 2:11 PM

Time to call in sick, put your head back underneath the down comforter, and STAY there... that's what time it is.

I thought I was gonna freeze solid while waiting for the train this morning. Ugh!

Posted by: Beth S. at December 8, 2006 3:18 PM

No wonder I'm cold.

Posted by: Cookie at December 8, 2006 4:39 PM

Brrr! That's exactly the reason Chappy did not get a walk today! Much, much too cold.

Something doesn't seem quite right with the comments on your next post (I can't access them, anyway), so I shall put mine here. I think that the fact that your daughter has such lofty (delusional) ambitions for her Christmas knitting in the next few weeks clearly marks her as a born knitter, perhaps more than any other characteristic. :)

Question about the submissions: do they have to be recent posts? And are there specific topics we should stick to, aside from knitting generally? I have something I put on my blog over a year ago that works as a stand-alone piece that I could submit, but I'm not exactly sure what the guidelines are. Thanks!
